Dear readers,
Welcome to Benchwarmers, a student-run project covering the United States Supreme Court and the thirteen federal courts of appeals. We publish weekly briefings, analyze blockbuster cases from the Supreme Court and appellate courts, and review legal scholarship. Our twitter feed provides real-time judiciary news and highlights commentary from leading court analysts.
This is a blog on jurisprudence, not politics. Accordingly, our mission is to cover the courts in a nonpartisan manner. We do not write from the “left” or the “right.” We do not advance a conservative or liberal agenda. We are not beholden to any political party. And while we may discuss the political consequences of a court’s decision, we do so descriptively, not normatively. So, readers, have no fear. You get impartial and detailed coverage of our nation’s significant judicial decisions.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out via the “Contact” page at the top. You can also follow us on Twitter or LinkedIn.
Best,
Graham L. Vogtman, Founder of Benchwarmers
